You haven't noticed yet, but all the rarest pokemon are hanging out in the rainforest. It is all part of a massive conspiracy to have countless people explore the rainforest- all while taking video of it with their smartphones because that is how pokemon go works- and eventually, someone will just stumble over a cure for cancer.

It is just step one of the nintendo-nati's plan. Step two is to put rare pokemon on other planets in order to encourage people to explore space.

On the bright side, people have dreamt about being able to catch Pokemon in real life since 10 years ago… and look where we're at now!
