Made by RevinKayner on August 7th 2016, following the twitter Hashtag #SadSamus which commented on Nintendo neglecting another big Metroid anniversary, this time the 30th Anniversary. Despite Nintendo not taking part in the anniversary. There was a rather successful campaign spurred on by the metroid fan community, culminating with the release of AM2R, a fan made remake of Metroid 2. The following day Nintendo DMCAd web hosts of the game which added traction to #SadSamus. This meme in particular is referencing the many dramas surrounding the metroid series and the character Samus.
