2023 Apple Mother Nature Commercial is an advertisement released by Apple in September 2023. The ad notably features actress Octavia Spencer and Apple CEO Tim Cook. The commercial depicts Spencer as a personification of "Mother Nature," with Cook and various Apple employees relaying their "Climate Change Promises" to Spencer. The ad went viral on Twitter, drawing the ire of different conservative internet users, among others.

On September 13th, 2023, Apple CEO and X user @tim_cook posted a video[1] with the caption, "At Apple, we believe that climate change is one of the world’s most urgent priorities and we are deeply committed to doing our part. Today we had a special guest--a real force of nature--stop by to check on our progress."

The video was an advertisement showcasing what Apple calls its "Climate Change Promises," which includes a plan to make Apple manufacturing and production completely carbon-neutral by 2030. The post gathered over 21 million views and 55,000 likes in a day (seen below).

The ad received criticism from major conservative figures, including Jordan Peterson and Donald Trump Jr. X[2] user @jordanbpeterson quoted Tim Cook's video on September 13th, 2023, with the caption, "This is truly Beyond parody," gathering over 22,000 likes in a day (seen below, left).

Also on September 13th, @DonaldJTrumpJr[3] quoted the advertisement with the caption, "In all their virtue signaling, did Apple commit to stop using slave labor in their manufacturing process or in the lithium mines used for the batteries that fuel their products etc??? Asking for tens of thousands of young children working in horrific conditions around the world!" The post gathered over 13,000 likes in a day (seen below, right).
