Hmm, the thin arm is fixed, floof on the other disguises its awkward shape. Added some ass, notices bulge, the ear is now where it belongs… Nice work.
Other fixes I'd suggest would be adding some definition to those limbs and making the hair look actually curly and not like a gelatin dessert – but those aren't minor details, are they. Maybe it won't look spectacular afterwards but it won't be awful, at least.
It wouldn't hurt if the animation team actually stayed on model. The arm here is long enough to reach the ground. The fingers are all over the place in the various shots we've seen. They should've worked extra hard to make their promotional content look appealing.
Trust me, I hate absolutely everything about the original design, but the hair and general shape were too integral to the original style for me to change. My goal here was to see how much better I could make him look without deviating from the style – in my opinion, the style is inherently flawed and was a bad choice for the show, but what's especially insulting to me is that they didn't NEED to make it look as bad as it did. Simple details like adding an actual nose and giving the body basic structure would have helped.
