Steven Universe - “Not all pearls know each other Steven”

The inconsistency with Pearl's design compared to Yellow and Blue Pearl still kind of bothers me.

At this point, I can only think that maaaaaaybe she was originally White Diamond's and she gave her to Pink as a hand-me-down because they couldn't be assed to whip up a Pink Pearl for her. Then White went and got herself a shiny new White Pearl to replace her.

It'd explain the gem placement and hair design, while the outfit was probably rushed to vaguely look like Pink's. Would even add a bit to the whole self-loathing that Pearl's been known to do in the past. (Because I'm not letting this theory go until White finally shows up and the gang meets her face to face.)
