Well, I guess it makes sense. Vegito pretty much got his hand handed to him and Cumber literally has no reason to care if he loses control or not. I just find it odd he wouldn't bother finishing off Vegito in SSJ and actually see him get beaten. Meh, it's a promotional anime after all. Tho the manga acknowledged it by showing him doing it which makes it kinda disappointing.
