STAN'S SOAPBOX Let's lay it right on the line. Bigotry and racism are among the deadliest social ills plaguing the world today. But, unlike a team of costumed super- villains. they can't be halted with a punch in the snoot, or a zap from a ray gun. The only way to destroy them is to expose them-to reveal them for the insidious eviis they really are: The bigot is an unreasoning hater- one who hates blindly, fanatically, indis- criminately. If his hang-up is black men, he hates ALL black men. If a redhead once offended him, he hates ALL redheads. If some foreigner beat him to a job, he's down on ALL foreign. ers. He hates people he's never seen - people he's never known with equal intensity- with equal venom. Now, we're not trying to say it's un reasonable for one human being to bug another. But, although anyone has the right to dislike another individual, it's totally irrational, patentiy insane to condemn an entire race to despise an entire nationto vilify an entire religion. Sooner or later, we must learn to judge each other on our own merits. Sooner or later, if man is ever to be worthy of his destiny, we must fill our hearts with tolerance. For then, and only then, will we be truly worthy of the concept that man was created in the image of God a God who calls us ALL His children Pax et Justitia, Stan.

I wouldn't mind, if Peter Parker had originally been black, a Latino, an Indian or anything else, that he stay that way. But we originally made him white. I don't see any reason to change that. It has nothing to do with being anti-gay, or anti- black, or anti-Latino, or anything like that. Latino characters should stay Latino. The Black Panther should certainly not be Swiss. I just see no reason to change that which has already been established when it's so easy to add new characters. I say create new characters the way you want to. -Stan Lee QC

And this is why I hate the people on Social Media that are praising his death. They are not fans, they are not his friends, they've never read his comics, they know nothing about him other then the fact that he's just another good soul their backwards ideals tell them "He's too good, he must be fake." When in reality he's more real than any SJW and NPC today.

Real talk time. I used to be super racist. I was closeted about it, but it was there. This was largely because most of my worst bullies were either black or hispanic. Me, being a stupid kid, internalized this as prejudice.

What fixed it? Going to a different school where my beliefs were proven to be thoroughly wrong.
