Well, Sony animation has actually always looked pretty good. The movies have always looked well animated.

It was just literally everything else about the movies that was trash. All you need is a director and writer who actually give a single fuck about the movie they are making.

To be honest the animation industry wide is so good that if studios so desired it we could be in an animation renaissance if they wanted to take the time and effort to have the writing and direction equal the animation talent. Instead they go for the quick cash because its easier and that is just sad.
