Actually, the Bait-and-Switch Lesbians trope (where they tease a lesbian couple, but in the end either get boyfriends or remain as completely platonic friends) is still the current norm for most of fiction
Bait-and-Switch Hetero is basically nonexistent. In fact this in-universe fictional story is basically the only example of it in any real-life story.
All other cases of stories about lesbian couples are rather straightforward about the girls having feelings for each other
