Ideally, the country exists in more than just a constant state of civil war. Someday we'll have to forgive each other (and ourselves) for all the awful things we've done, regardless of the noble causes we believed -rightfully or not – that we were fighting for. Middle-class losers dunking on other middle-class losers on the internet is also not equivalent to professional soldiers fighting to the death over the issue of slavery.

It's funny how this quote is always attributed to Lincoln when he was actually quoting Jesus.
