As a big FE 3H fan, I'm happy about Byleth's inclusion in Smash, but holy shit that wasn't the right time.

The entire Fighters Pass has been nothing but 3rd party characters, so revealing one that's not only a 1st party character, from a franchise already well-established in Smash, which just happens to be Fire Emblem wasn't the right move, especially knowing Smash fans have history with FE characters.

Good character, great moveset, logical choice, horrible symbol. Twitter and Reddit being already in flames confirm it.

I actually wonder of they truly know about Smash fans and their history with FE. That is mostly a Western thing, and I do not think they are very aware of Western opinions beyond the characters they like rather than the ones they dislike.
