I remember the moment I fell in and out of love with the Medal of Honor franchise.

Loved when I was on the beaches on D-day and, after dying a ton of times, completed the mission and with medals of honor for disabling and/or sniping the main fortifications saving many infantrymen's lives. And all on my own, in a sense.

Later titles they assign you a squad, you can't do a thing without them and you'll fail the mission if you get too far away from it, fail to move on with them, or just let too many of them die like a multitasking escort mission. Stunts like sniping/disabling the fortifications are now scripted events instead of totally optional but kickass and award-worthy accomplishments.

Please let me have my old arcade-style game where one angry man with a gun can make a difference.
