I like how this character, at least in anime, not-so-gradually goes from "your average prune-faced two-foot-tall old hag" to "grandma was cute when she was young. Shit she's still cute in a way".

Yes she has access to that trope-ability where she can go back to her physical prime at a price. Guess that's their excuse to put less and less wrinkles on her as the plot goes on.
