Beastars - So,,, this is basically the plot?

My knowledge is secondhand from reviews, so someone more qualified can correct me, but basically imagine a dark Zootopia if the predators never fully grew out of their predatory instincts to hunt and kill and eat meat and the species-ism that ensues. Wolf dude is shy and is struggling with his feral urges, you have rabbit girl who sleeps around in order to get those moments to be seen as a person instead of "Oh, look at the puny defenseless bun bun". Apparently it's sort of a deconstruction of a furry society? Or perhaps a reconstruction?

The best guess I would have is that they're both primal urges and sometimes the wires get crossed?

3) Hey look, food
