It's not that people don't like it. It's that people don't like it for stupid reasons, say that it's "wrong" "problematic" or whatever negative connotation you can think of and say that it should be removed, then screech when that doesn't happen. All while saying how bad the people who created it are.

It happens a lot with some anime/manga to varying degrees because obviously Japan's media is different compared to our own and they often don't give a fuck about what dipshit westerners on twitter think.

Backfires a lot too, as it gives more attention to said series. I know I probably wouldn't have gotten into Goblin Slayer if people weren't bitching about it when the anime was released.

Because sjws hate it, therefore the internet has to like it regardless of quality, according to some
