Let me guess, are those going to be outlawed?

Here in Brazil during a protest wave people were making good use of chemistry classes and carried vinegar to help with tear gas, mace or something. Almost instantly it was declared illegal to have vinegar on your person with no intention or means to make a salad.

Wouldn't that just result in more protesters walking around with heads of lettuce? Feel like tomatoes would just be used to pelt the police, though.
