Also not realizing the that there's a specific lack of certain things to help that along… Then again, we don't know how witches do the do. Could literally be anything…

Pretty sure e621 folks can get fairly pedantic when it comes to tagging. Wouldn't be too surprised if others were the same.

Guess it depends on the specific series. Owl House itself treats humans as a separate thing, as well as being biologically different. (There's also the monster-witches, but it doesn't really go into where they fall.) And I know there's some monster-girl series that treat witch as its own monster species. Just as I'm sure there's some other series be it anime or something else that've treated magic-users and others comparable as non-human despite looking like one.
