When you really think about it, most characters people pretend to relate towards or be "represented" by end up being escapist characters instead of relatable ones, often superheroes or other powerful characters in media. People will be quick to call a character like Black Panther "relatable" based on his good qualities as a character, but fail to realize that he literally is an ideal of a person living in a fictional world on a fictional setting, thus being impossible to relate to by definition, even when accounting for his flaws.

You want "relatable"..? The Prince of Bel-Air is what you are looking for, a character that could very well be either someone you look up to or an actual friend that looks up to you instead. It does not get much more relatable than than.
