FAKE RUMOR MILLS PIRATES& Princes868 The Fake Rumors that tend to have the longest legs usually stem from a select group of algorithm chasing click-bait Websites and YouTubers. These Fake Scoopers have No accurate track record to speak of aside from taking credit for scoops actually sourced from Reddit (such as Doomcock with TROS). A MIKE ZEROH These Rumors typically gain traction by an overt pandering to the wants of a specific sect in the fandom. (i.e. Some fans wish the Sequels were retconned, so they start a rumor that they will be.) Overlord DVD (Doomcock) CLICKBAIT ARTICLES While Clickbait websites are nothing new, these websites have more frequently pandered to the same sects of the fandom and cited those fake scoopers as BOUNDING INTO COMICS their sources in articles. These articles spread the Fake Rumors further and on the surface seem to give them more credibility to the uninformed reader. WE GOT THIS COSMIC COVERED BOOK NEWS All it takes is a sexy enough Headline on an article for it to spread across Social Media, very few will read the contents let alone check the Source of the information. YOUTUBE COVERAGE These YouTubers are often times members of the very sects of the Fandom being pandered to initially. Despite being fully aware of the misinformation, they will cover those website articles and spread the fake rumors even further. GEEKS + GAMERS Clownfish TV These channels are sometimes known to be associates MIDNIGHT'S of the operators of these websites and the individuals who created the fake rumors to begin with. EDGE Fake Rumors almost have an entirely planned and manufactured life cycle of their own. They are nothing more than an attempt to work the YouTube and Google search algorithm for profit.
