OPs globohomo art style is a growth off of that advertising factor meeting flash animation and the simplistic 3d pixel/polygon art from the 2000's. so now what they do is use simple designs to create characters but with obvious features as if you were designing your avatar in some cute game from a fevw years ago. these games have trained us to see ourselves with less features, and to define ourselves more with a hat or a pair of sunglasses/etc. the learned advertising factor makes it so we can visualize ourselves as a character more .-if less detail involved. even if the character looks nothing like you, your brain still wants to insert yourself in the situation because that's what you were taught. even if the characters are black and you are white then you are silently processing: somehow i am "friends" with them because of their "friendly features" you have been trained to recognize, or somehow you are seeing that you are like these people regardless of skin color because you both live inside these simple patterns. either way, you are subconsciously connecting to the art through the little details about these characters, in hopes that you will be more likely to buy the product or absorb the message. that's why there are so many characters that have no faces, because its you. that's how they want you to see yourself. wake up. First 3 pics especially. The thing is they are super easy to do- and you can produces like 10 of these a day without any issue. Using the corporate artstyle to make offensive/offputting art does seem like a fun idea.

Given its simplicity, it doesn't seem that hard for large amounts of people to do it, especially for the likes of reddit.
