Unlike you REALLY REALLY REALLY like the streamer, i dont get why people subscribe to twitch channels (Excluding simps, those are a diferent case)

For example i like tyler1 and i much rather buy a protein shaker for 10$ from his merch store than paying a worthless subscription that barely does anything for me

There are programs and addons out now which allow you to see all the emotes used on twitch all the time. Those who truly care about the emotes get that.

Then if they really want to support the streamer, they circumvent giving money to Jeff Bezos (the true overlord of twitch).

I occasionally subscribe to a professional gamer who actually delivers pro gaming typical content on a regular basis (not just yelling into a mic while streaming some random game whilst riding the coat-tails of their own former glory like others on twitch).

The only reason I do this and not direct donation is because they seem grateful and I'm honestly too lazy to care about whatever a basic subscription cost is. In terms of actually "supporting" them when I really care, the streamer and I simply have a good interaction where they take a serious consideration of advice and points from a fan. They're willing to listen and it has happened many times that things their viewers have said have led to overall performance increases, no subscription required.

At the same time I see people who subscribe on the regular like crazy and they admit they don't care about the emotes. At that point this image becomes way too relevant. If you really care and aren't just throwing around a few bucks here or there, serious streamers have ways of getting higher percentage of the money you throw around out of you.
