Ethical consumption under capitalism is a luxury at best and a corporate lie at worst.
You're essentially asking anyone who is critical of capitalism to go the extra mile every single day and spend more time and money doing simple things instead of improving the system as a whole.

You never see a capitalist going the extra mile to buy things that aren't made in chinese sweatshops.
