"Android phone" is a nothing. It's just the OS.

It's about the manufacturers of the phone and there Samsung ain't all that much better than Apple and engage in the same "anti-repair" bullshit, it's just less extreme. It's an endemic problem to the entire industry and small phone manufacturers lack the know how, tech patents, etc. to make state of the art phones.
