Once again, @Atlus_West strikes with their dishonest "localization;" changing the identity of a character. If these people cannot respect the creator's vision, they should be barred from working on Japanese games. It's completely unacceptable. ASKED WHY HE CROSSDRESSES この方が 都合がいいんだ "This is more convenient for me" 僕が生きているのを 秘密にできる JAPANESE ENGLISH Let's say some binaries work for me, and others don't. This lets me hide the fact that l'm even alive. "It lets me keep it a secret that l'm alive"

They're pretty different to me.

The Japanese one is being deliberately vague about why he does it but suggests it's not something he necessarily likes doing.

The english one makes it a gender identity issue and suggests he prefers to wear clothing regardless of if it's masculine or feminine.

Turns out the context is that there are people who think he's dead and would try to kill him if they found out he's alive so he's in-hiding and dressing as a girl is the best way to throw them off his trail.

So yeah, the english one is pretty obviously a politically-motivated change to the character.
