I said evolving, not fully evolved. He has made a lot of strides and dumped a lot of his toxic viewpoints and behaviors - but not all of them. It's absolutely fair to criticize a person for the things they've done over the last year, not so much reaching back 4-5 years for stuff they've moved on from. People can change and rehabilitate, but it happens on their time table, not yours. Not everyone has the privilege of growing up in a healthy and stable environment where they are taught the correct things, sometimes they grow up in toxic environments and have toxic friends, and takes more work to break free from the programming and pathways that were beat into you for most of your life by your environment and the people around you. I think critiquing and encouraging change in people is way more productive than s------- on someone from afar like a bunch of the posts in this thread. If people are going to discount the strides you've made and say you haven't changed - then you're not supporting growth, you're just stifling it and being toxic in a different way. Just my two cents.
