It depends on where you live in. Here are the pros and cons of the place I live in:
+Very diverse community. Place has mostly Asians who have immigrated to the US many years ago.
+Nice weather during spring, fall, and winter. As for summer, I'll talk about that in the cons section.
+Great environment. I live close to the mountains, where I hike there every weekend and see the lush forest, the flowing river, and occasional animals scurrying about.
+Decent education.
+People are supportive and friendly, especially during the pandemic. The county I live in has 80% of the population from ages 12 and over who have gotten at least one shot of the Covid vaccine.
+Plenty of job opportunities.
+Safe place to live. I've seen you guys mention about crime laws in California, but since there isn't much crime from where I live, that hasn't really affected me.
-High housing costs.
-Getting into a job is very difficult due to how insane the job competition is.
-Heavy traffic.
-Drought season. Summer hasn't been a problem until recent years due to climate change. Lack of rain meant that you have to save water and prepare for fires and smoke during summer.
