Someone at Nintendo is sore about the Bob Hoskins Mario movie, which is technically a Disney movie (through Buena Vista), so Nintendo contracted the Chris Pratt Mario Movie to Illumination instead of Disney. The ironic thing is that back in 1993, Nintendo didn't hate the Bob Hoskins Mario movie that much, so this is actually a new development
