Correction, kindergarten to Grade 3, and the legalese is vague enough that just mentioning gay (or even straight) people can lead to a lawsuit.

Also, saying that "some kids have two mommies" isn't the same as indoctrinating kids into underground sex rings, as some people here imply.
It's not even on the same level as teaching the birds and the bees, which has no negative consequences either, and I would be interested if there was any proper scientific study that demonstrates how early sex ed negatively affects children.
