brellom @brellom - 10h I'm going to stop drawing Female Links because too many people keep confusing it for Linkle or thinking that Linkle is a female Link and I'm tired of correcting them. 15 27 1 80 brellom @brellom - 10h I didn't spend 15+ years drawing a character – a character that existed long before Linkle was even remotely conceived of for people to equate my work to a character that, in no reasonable way, even resembles Link as a character. 45 brellom @brellom - 10h "oh but she has 'link' in her name, so she must be a female link" Yeah well Legolas' name starts with the letter L and he's blonde and uses a bow, but I'd be dumb to say he's Link when they don't resemble each other's characters, in terms of personality or narrative arc. 22 30 brellom @brellom - 10h It's been years, I shouldn't have to still be correcting the ignorance of mankind. 22 27 ‚↑₁ brellom @brellom 10h Man, I'm just tired of drawing Link with Boobs -- who I label AS Link, but female, only for someone who thinks they know better than me to come along and go "dont u mean linkle?" No, I don't. If I meant it, that's what I would've put down instead. And you know why I didn't? 41 brellom @brellom Because Linkle is not a female Link. She doesn't look like Link. She doesn't act like Link. She doesn't do anything that Link does based on years of previous versions of the character. She's to Link like Batgirl is to Batman. Inspired by the original, but not a female version.
