Peace:

• >Brewing social dysfunction that stews irrelevant divides into society and never resolves itself.
• >Government officials engaging in constant pointless soapboxing about pointless issues.
• >Economic downturn that slowly puts more and more people out of a job and way of life as time goes on.
• >Sit back and watch as totalitarian despots commit crimes against Humanity with no repercussions whatsoever.
• >Die, be forgotten as just another dude that wasted away 9-5, 5 days a week, 48 weeks a year.

War:

• >Everybody united against the enemy.
• >Government fully focused on defeating the enemy.
• >Wartime demand causes a decrease in unemployment as more workers and soldiers are hired to supply the War Effort.
• >Put the totalitarian despot's head on a stake in the front lawn of their ill-gotten palace as you burn it to the ground and raise your flag where theirs once flew.
• >Die, be saluted and mourned by your fellow countrymen as if you were one of their own brothers.

Yeah, Peace is kinda cringe. It never lasts anyways. The only reason we haven't had a third World war is because Mutually Assured Destruction has the world's superpowers too afraid to invade each other. If for whatever reason all Nuclear Weapons were completely eradicated, I'd imagine that we'd start seeing an increase in nations invading other nations again.
