I've seen elon make a lot of dumb takes, but man this one is one of the dumbest , lets entertain the idea for a second here an examine how this would be INCREDIBLY in favor of russia.

- if the vote where to actually be held , all russia needs to do to secure the majority is to displace or kill all ukranian population and replace it with russian population before the vote takes place.

-crimea was litterally invaded an anexed back in 2014 and this dumbass is talking about something that happpened 200+ years ago as if that justified russia just taking the land.

-Ukraine "neutral" do you mean you wanna keep it away from nato ? for what ? so russia can just go ahead and try again later once it has rearmed?

-ukraine is currently winning they have NO REASON to make any kind of deal with russia, not right now, and not while being on the offensive , any kind of deal for peace right now would just benefit russia so they can try again later.

and , I get it , peace is great , I am mostly a pacifist myself irl, but russia's goverment has proven time and time again just how beligerent they are ,for the sake of lasting peace, russia cannot remain as it is, and its goverment CANNOT go unpunished for its actions, period.

I am honestly willing to tolerate elon musk's dumb takes due to his advances in science (as a commenter above said,go updoot him) but I seriously think this is one of his dumber takes.

Appeasement is never the answer. If just threatening to use nukes gets Putin what he wants, he'll be doing it again and again, and everyone in the free world will live in fear for decades. Better to put a stop to it now.
