Due to clever use of a paper mask and half an hour of Russian lessons on Duo Lingo, I managed to sneak myself into one of the training centres being hosted in Belarus and recorded this footage to show just how bad things have gotten.

Kyiv is also closer to the Belarusian border than Monterrey is to Texas, about as far as New York City is from Philadelphia.

“ UPDATE:
I wanted to publish this cartoon on February 24, the one-year anniversary of the Ukraine War. Unfortunately we had some problems with our cold winter move from our previous rental many miles north of our new digs—and that has prevented me from being as productive as I had planned. We also had a terrifying encounter with black ice on a busy highway. How we failed to hit another car or a traffic post is a mystery to me. We ended up spinning down a Starbucks ‘exit only’ ramp and onto a snow-covered embankment. We drove away shaken, but unscathed. We must have had a guardian angel watching over us.

We’ve also had a great many of our supporters watching over us—and you helped us out considerably with our moving expenses (which were greater than expected) and I want to thank everyone for your kind contributions to our cause. As you know, we are independent and that means we can draw whatever cartoons we like, but it also means we are dependent on print and book sales as well as donations. Now it’s time to again get back to drawing some ‘MAGA’ cartoons with impact and influence!”

I should probably explain El Gato de la Guerra.

Over on /k/, some madlad has made a post every single day declaring that the Russians still have not captured Bakhmut and this had almost been going on for a year now, with every single thread starting with an image of the Country Roads Cat.

Because of this, it has come to symbolise the entirety of Russian Failure in this war, and anytime something terrible happens to the Russians, someone will photoshop this cat singing in the background of it.

This means that the Pro-Russians on the board now have a mini-seizure whenever they see it now, which is bloody hilarious to me.

Normally I try and keep my sauce list nice and neat by linking all of them, and I'll probably do it later, but because it's Oh God Why in the morning before my early shift, I'm afraid you'll have to put up with link spaghetti for now.
