I can easily see this being used as a promo shot for a TV special where some criminal posing as an Interpol agent convinces the higher ups that Lupin and his friends managing to escape the latest trap laid for them by Zenigata is proof that Zenigata is an inside man for Lupin in the organization. This leads to Zenigata, now on the run, reluctantly teaming up with Lupin and company to clear his name, which eventually leads to them foiling whatever master plan the criminal has cooked up.

And Lupin agrees to help because one, it involves stealing loot from someone and two, because he fucking loves his feud with Zenigata and like hell is Lupin gonna let him get arrested.
