Their early work was a little too non-interactive for my taste, but when the demo for The Coffin of Andy and Leyley came out in '23, I think they really came into their own, both commercially and artistically. The episode has a charming, unique artstyle, and a gripping story with a grim setting that really gives the game a big boost. They have been compared to Toby Fox, but I think Nemlei has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In October '23, Nemlei released this: Episode 2 of The Coffin, their most accomplished work. I think their undisputed masterpiece is Ashely's vision in the "questionable" path of the Burial route, a scene so scandalous most people probably don't pay attention to how it changes subsequent interactions – but they should! Because it's not just about the shock value and breaking of taboos, it's also a personal statement about trust and acceptance!…
