About
I'm Crine refers to an internet AAVE slang term for "I'm crying," with "crine" being a shortened substitute for "crying," similar to "ahh" in the term Goofy Ahh. I'm Crine usually refers to crying from laughter, not sadness. Used en masse on social media and in memes in 2025, I'm Crine acted as the caption for several reaction images and image macros that expressed crying laughter, commonly paired with the "Face with Tears of Joy" Emoji, also known as the "Crying Laughing" Emoji, or the "Loudly Crying Face" Emoji, and the phrase Son 😭😭😭😭😭.
The phrase's earliest uses on Twitter / X are from 2013, shared by users from the Bronx borough of New York City. In 2014, I'm Crine gained notable use on the Kanye West music forum Kanye To The.
