I'm a little surprised this one has little documentation here. Descent was Parallax Software's first game and quite advanced for the time. It was initially very hard on systems of the era, with demanding specs. It also had support for some of the VR hardware at the time. Parallax would later become Volition – the same studio behind Red Faction and Saint's Row.

At the time, the game was widely known for causing motion sickness as it was fast-paced with full 3D environment, unusual to most gamers acclimatized to Doom's linear 2D movement.
