Get That Yam Off Your Face, also known as Big Yam Face or Get That Yam Off Yo Face, refers to a recording of an Instagram Live in which a man has a yam tied to his face to make fun of another man with a big nose. In the roast video, the man calls the other a "big yam face" and the man being insulted cuts him off, saying to the camera, "Why are you yellin', bruh?" The man being insulted is named Boskoe100 (aka Boskoe or @skoegangthegreat) and the insulter is named twilightgotti (aka @prolific_gotti110). The video spread via reposts on Twitter / X and elsewhere, notably relating to rapper Rick Ross' beef with Drake.

Origin

On February 19th, 2024, Instagram^[1] user @twilightgotti posted a screen recording of himself joining Boskoe100's Instagram Live.^[2] He joined the call with a yam tied around his face, telling Boskoe100, "Get that yam off your face, nigga! Big yam face havin-" Boskoe100 then cuts him from the Live, saying, "Why are you yellin', bruh? Fuck is you yellin' for?" Over two months, the video received roughly 167,400 likes (shown below).

On February 20th, 2024, X^[3] user @DONJUAANNNN reposted the video, writing, "Lmfaooo nigga boskoe was salty then a bitch🤣🤣🤣🤣…" gaining over 5.3 million views and 29,000 likes in two months (shown below).

The post was quoted by many in the days and weeks following, such as when X^[4] user @thekillakay_ quoted it on February 20th, writing, "This is a premeditated roast," receiving over 1,300 likes in two months (shown below, left).

On March 26th, 2024, X^[5] user @ESMB3nji quoted the post, proclaiming, "Ion think theres ever been a funnier video than this dawg…" earning over 11,000 likes in 20 days (shown below, right).

Going into April 2024, the video was used to insult people with big noses. For instance, on April 13th, X^[6] user @tayskiFC quoted a photo of rapper Drake with a screenshot of twilightgotti's yam face, gaining over 19,000 likes in two days (shown below, left).

A minute later on April 13th, 2024, X^[7] user @maliegotit shared a nearly identical post, receiving over 18,000 likes in two days (shown below, right).
