It became popular recently when it was reposted in <a href="https://redd.it/1bfwvyq">/r/okbuddyrintard</a>, and then by <a href="https://twitter.com/seiyaposting/status/1768774031812317546">this Twitter account</a>, the latter probably for rage farming purposes. The blue checkmark can be hidden since <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2023/8/2/23816924/twitter-x-blue-subscribers-hide-blue-check-option">August 2023</a>. It could also be solely for the sake of trolling people too.
