While we as a community are incredibly grateful for the actions being taken, many of us believe that further evidence is required to warrant a newfound sense of confidence in game's future. If Bots Remain Gone By the Summer Update: These efforts require persistent and continuous upkeep, otherwise we run the risk reverting back to a bot-infested status quo. As the Summer Update draws near, Team Fortress 2 consumers should be heavily encouraged to adjust their spending habits and/or review scores based on whether or not these anti-bot measures continue. This would be great news! However, we must keep in mind that malicious actors have a heightened incentive to host bots during periods of major player-excitement. Before jumping the gun on any in-game or Steam market purchases, we highly recommend waiting on much more additional proof that bot accounts are being met with swift and consistent action. Examples include; game-bans, community bans, and/or account deletion. If Bots Return Before or After the Summer Update: We recommend withholding all monetary investment from TF2 until the issue has been resolved. Team Fortress 2 deserves to be in a playable state before players resume supporting the product financially.

Despite being 16+ years old, Team Fortress 2 is one of the most played and most beloved games of all time. However, despite its massive community and long- lasting impact on gaming, TF2 is in an unplayable state. Starting off strong with a bunch of blatant misinformation here. TF2 is NOT one of the most played games of all time (beloved is also questionable). Despite popular belief, TF2 did not peak at 200,000 players like people have led you to believe, the information giving by steamcharts is not accurate, as it counts online players and not players in a server. Lastly, the only long-lasting impact this game had on gaming is introducing micro-transactions, so you can thank TF2 for the reason you have to pay for skins in every new game that releases. The game is overrun with bots that instantly kill every player trying to play the game, spread hate speech, and use their power over the community for financial gain. We want to show Valve that there is no room in the community for the problematic individuals who host these bots, and This Petition is not a direct means of changing things, but a show of numbers for the number of people who want to take a stand against them. While it is true that the game is overrun with bots, they are easily avoidable. Players can also kick them out easily. I'd say the cheater problem is worse than the bot problem as cheaters are harder to detect than the blatant spinbot sniper spamming The petition is just an example of how disorganized, and how unplanned this new *SaveTF2" is. Alongside this is our petition, which will serve to represent the sheer enormity of how many players Valve's inaction has negatively affected. This behavior is where most of the community's resentment stems from, however, many are unaware that the problem goes far beyond simply trolling and cheating. The bot hosters are malicious actors, using their aimbots as a vessel to endlessly attack and harass community members. They abuse the in-game text and voice chats to spread the most vile hate speech imaginable, while simultaneously advertising their "bot immunity services" in an attempt to scam the players desperately looking for a solution. They've used these same means to dox people's personal information and broadcast it to the player-base against their will. Bot hosters have even gone so far as to commit actual crimes, such as using Al voice-modifiers to impersonate and slander non-consenting parties, launching persistent DDoS attacks, and have even swatted one of their most ardent critics. There should be a zero-tolerance policy relating to this kind of conduct, and Valve needs to be held accountable for persistently refusing to acknowledge it.

THE AIMBOTS NEED TO GO For the past five years, Team Fortress 2 has become nearly unplayable. The game's official servers have been overrun by hordes of cheating aimbots while Valve has remained steadfast in their refusal to adequately tackle the problem. This lack of developer interference has thrown the game into a state of turmoil with seemingly no end in sight. Despite being aware of the bot crisis, Valve has instead directed their focus towards other ventures, leaving TF2 with insufficient support in its grave time of need. From the outside, Valve appears to be more concerned with generating millions in revenue every month via in-game microtransactions, rather than maintaining a product that should work as expected. There's no putting it lightly, Team Fortress 2 is in an unacceptable state, and Valve's apathy in dealing with the issue is nothing short of appalling.

And hell who knows they hosters might actually get bored and leave when we all just stop complaining like they want you to do, and since Community servers have 3rd party anti-cheat and moderators it would be tough to stage a bot attack against them, not impossible but it wouldn't last for as long as Casual. Jason. 11 hours ago I don't quite understand what review bombing the game is supposed to do I've heard people say that "It worked for Helldivers 2". The reason why it worked for that game it's because helldivers 2 is a huge revenue stream and a high priority to Sony, the game is also very popular so it was also bad for their reputation. TF2 is neither ot these things. TF2 is not that popular today for people outside of the tf2 community to care nor is it a high priority to Valve, hell even their biggest game CS2 is starting to get the same treatment that we do.
