However, due to an oversight in the code, there is a 1/32768 chance for a Gooble to still spawn. This Gooper Blooper Goop Gooble event has a 0.003% chance of occurring. Taken from footage by twitch.tv user "inkstarLum" x20 9008 x00 x02 Extremely rare Gooble caught on camera This is a Gooble (known at the time of the game's release as "Swoopin' Stu"). Goobles appear frequently from most Goop in the game, but not during the Gooper Blooper battles. WATER To prevent Goobles spawning during that battle, the developers added a "no Gooble" zone object around the battlefield. However, due to an oversight in the implementation of Gooble spawning, there is still a 1/32768 chance for a Gooble to spawn. The "no Gooble" zone sets the spawn rate of Goobles to "Q". But the code that is responsible for spawning them generates a number from 0 to 32767 and then compares if it is less than or equal to the spawn rate, at which point it spawns one. As you can see, if it generates a Q, it will be equal to the spawn rate, and still spawn a Gooble. She is kept at a distance from Mario during this, masking the fact that she is actually much larger than usual. Size during regular gameplay Size during Bowser battle Possible technical explanation: the boss arena was supposed to be smaller earlier in development, and instead of resizing each object separately, they were all resized together, which included Peach. Possible in-universe explanation: Bowser often uses magic to enlarge himself for boss battles. Whatever magic he used could have also affected Peach.
