The incident came to light after his 'message' captured on CCTV surfaced on social media. In the video, the masked burglar, armed with a stick, was seen breaking in- to the eatery on the night of July 18. The thief was vis- ibly disappointment when he could not find any cash or valuables after ransack- ing the kitchen. Upon not- icing the CCTV camera on the premises, he expressed his disdain through ges- tures. "There's not even one rupee here," he con- veyed with folded hands. Frustrated, he searched the refrigerator, pulled out a water bottle and placed a *20 note on the table, pointing it to the camera. Theft at another place The thief allegedly stole va- luables from another pro- perty in Sanjeev Nagar Co- lony, the Maheshwaram police said. The person was yet to be identified.

Mahangde's first thought was how he would reach the centre which was about 15km away in Pasarni village at the foothills. The road rou- te down the winding Pasarni Ghat would have taken at le- ast half an hour and he did not have the luxury of time. Mahangde quickly went up to Govind Yewale who or- ganises paragliding ses- sions in the area and pleaded A videograb shows Samarth paragliding to his exam centre with him to take him to the village on a paraglider. After a dressing down, Yewale ag- reed. He was strapped on to a paraglider and dropped on the grounds of the exam centre. He got there in five minutes and rushed to take his exam. Mahangde runs his juice centre at Harrison's Folly po- int, a scenic spot along Pasar- ni Ghat connecting Panchga- ni and Mahabaleshwar.. "The first semester paper for Natural Dissolution Ma- nagement subject of universi- ty exam was earlier cancelled and I was not aware of the changed date as I could not get my hall ticket updated. While I was at work, I got to know about it from my friends," Ma- hangde told TOI. He said had he tried the ghat section of the road he would have surely missed the exam because of the traffic.
