It would go something like this: Mac would grow older and have to go to college and put Bloo up for adoption. However, Bloo gets adopted immediately and doesn't get a chance to have a final goodbye to Mac. The people who adopt him turn out to run a sweatshop that uses imaginary friends as slave labor. The rest of the Foster's gang finds out about this and has to save Bloo before Mac has to leave. Somewhere along the line they find a perfectly good kid who'll adopt Bloo and he and and Mac have one last goodbye at Foster's while they drive off on opposite roads.

to be fair the actual ending of fosters was pretty sad to begin with, it goes out on a pretty happy last note but watching it always gives me feels. watching the the opening sequence in reverse, seeing the house disappear one line at a time and disappear into nothing, hearing the theme song again knowing it will be the last time, the whole experience just fills you up with what can only be described as happy despair. and then they go ahead and show a last farewell from Craig Mccracken and lauren faust.
I don't even know why but this last image, the very LAST image in the very LAST episode makes me melt into a pile of tears. I don't recomend look at it if you don't want to feel like a 6 year old
