the problem with SJW's is not what they fight for, but how they go about trying to get it.

Instead of directly pushing for positive change, they try to indirectly reach it through messages that are almost exclusively negative. If a group of people are being "oppressed", their solution is to oppress the "oppressors".

Example: in response to racial stereotypes against blacks, their strategy is not to try to diminish those stereotypes or empower black people, but instead just insult whites. Same thing with gays: they belittle straight people.

In my mind, that's the major difference between people pushing for positive rights and change vs SJWs. True activists seek equality through empowerment, SJW's seek revenge. Even that is inherently retarded because I didn't do anything. Punching me in the gut doesn't punish my dead ancestor.
