I still don't understand why Brave and Frozen keeps getting the credit for a "strong female protagonist" when we've already had the independent Belle, the adventurous Jasmine (she goes on a lot in the animated series), the courageous and independent Mulan, the hardworking Tiana, and etc. Heck, Lilo & Stitch did the theme of "loving sisters" long before Frozen. This is why I felt Frozen was okay when I saw it and continually started to loath it for how overrated it was (people are even saying "this will be loved for generations"). I not only didn't think the movie was subversive, but I also thought it had bland writing, underdeveloped characters, and only 2/7 good songs. I bet you 10 years from now people won't think very highly of this movie.

Because everyone on tumblr is 10 and doesn't know Aladin, Mulan and so on.
