You're right. No movement is worth it if it summons a bunch of misinformed halfwits that believe a consumer revolt is somehow responsible for harassment and death threats.

I'm not unsubscribing. You know why? Because EC (and thus Daniel Floyd) are smart, smart people, with entertaining and educational videos. I would like to know what harm he has caused by saying this! While there many not be any evidence that the death threats came form Pro-GGers, they spiked for all of them when it started – that's hardly circumstantial. Many people who have joined this have come from being against corruption in game journalism to being against those who disagree with them (this includes many people here!). So you know what? I don't care what you believe. I don't care what you are. If you don't hurt other people, and aren't promoting hurting others, and still can pull together a rational argument for your views, whether or not they're right, I respect you and will be happy to listen to your arguments.

It's time to dump this us-verses-them mentality that so many people, inside or outside of #GamerGate, have.
