I kinda lament the internet for this reason… No matter how valid the criticism, the opposition can just play the victim card and suddenly the topic is not whether or not the claims of GamerGate are valid, but rather why such a "hateful" movement exists in the first place. If you put yourself out there on the internet, you'll get death threats no matter what you do, and to try and deflect discussion from the issue. Seems that the most advanced medium of communication for this type of discussion is absolutely useless because we can't have adult conversations on the internet.
