fortrees I'm gonna talk and ramble here to gather my thoughts about the delta episode because there was some pretty dark stuff in there regarding infinity energy and the devon corporation brace yourself for proper grammar Infinity energy + Devon Infinity energy is released when Pokémon are sacrificed. AZ and Lysandre used this energy to power the ultimate weapon in XY President Stone admitted that Devon used infinity energy to power their technology despite the fact that there are surely many people who would call it reprehensible'. We know Mossdeep's rockets run on infinity energy and Stern's submarine was going to too so obviously Devon's use of infinity energy as a power source is NOT just a thing of the past. There has been no mention of a more ethical way to harvest infinity energy in the game (as far as I know), and judging from Zinnia's objections and Stone's 'reprehensible comment, the evidence seems to point to Devon routinely killing batches of Pokémon to produce their energy. I'm guessing this is pretty hushed up (Interestingly, Steven knows all about this and doesn't object. A neat character flaw perhaps? There's a document inside a cabinet in Sea Mauville about Devon's discovery of infinity energy which seems to suggest Sea Mauville was actively investigating Devon. My guess is that Mauville and Devon were different companies. Rival compani When Mauville nd out Devon were harvesting infinity energy they rushed to do the same... only they got caught out (see below) New Mauville The New Mauville project was cancelled some time before Sea Mauville got closed down According to documents in Sea Mauville, Wattson (the project leader) was responsible for New Mauville's cancellation The in-game dialogue seems to suggest New Mauville was going to be a place to live, not a power station. Apparently, the project was terminated because of concern that New Mauville would be disruptive to Pokémon's habitats. This seems off to me... if this was the problem, wouldn't it be cancelled way before it started being built? The documents aboard Sea Mauville seem to suggest it was cancelled very suddenly and that Wattson's agues were incredibly annoyed about it. Considering the likelihood that Sea Mauville was harvesting infinity energy... what if New Mauville was intended to do the same? What if Wattson discovered this and put an immediate end to the project? What if it was this abrupt cancellation in the name of Pokémon welfare' that prompted the inspection of Mauvill resulting in the other facilities, ev ure of Sea Mauville on ethical grounds CONCLUSION: ORAS IS DARK AS HECK????!! e energy was produced from AZ's weapon, and the Mega stones Going off from this, as were a by product of said weapon hitting the original Deoxys comet, and the shards of the comet becoming Mega stones, then Infinite energy is required to Mega Evolve As a result of Mega Evolution being described as a "Higher evolution, going beyond the boundaries of natural evolution" in order for a Pokemon to Mega Evolve, in its way of getting stronger, it must use said stone filled with said Infinite Energy, which contains the life energy of a Pokemon Pokemon naturally evolve when they gain experience, which is gained by beating other pokemon, whether it by wild pokemon, or other trainers. By effectively knocking them out. Ergo, taking Mega Evolution and Natural evolution into account and comparing the two ntinite Energy is pokemon experience Conclusion: ORAS IS INDEED DARK AS HECK! fortrees
