Thor saved a women and apparently this made him unworthy of being thor? So he got his powers taken away? and so the lady he saved is now thor? While thor is somewhere not able to use the name his father gave him because reasons?

I don't know. From what I gathered they pulled a "drop the readers in the middle of the stroy and explain things later" type situation. We don't know where the real thor is. We don't know why he was unworthy of being thor, even though he is thor. And we don't know what made this women so much more worthy.

Compounding the issue is that instead of just making this woman "The Thunderer" and giving her thors powers, they gave her thors name as well, to drvie home a point that she's just as much thors equal as thor.

Despite not being an asgardian. Or a child of Odin. Its a dumb decision, and reeks of trying to play politics with established canon in order to get temporary readership to go up.
