Ignoring the obvious b8, I could see an argument.

When angels fall, they hit the ground the hardest. They can't deal with a world full of flaws and compromises.

IF we are going with the b8 meaning though, the 'pure' bit could also mean 'pure aryan'. Which isn't true, but what do you think he would want people to believe?
