Overview
The Lacari Notepad Controversy refers to an incident in which Twitch streamer Lacari accidentally opened a Notepad file during a stream that revealed a link to an EMLOAD folder with over 1,700 files containing pornographic, potentially illegal, content allegedly related to teens, lolicon, bestiality, family nudism and more. The incident took place on January 22nd, 2026, and quickly went viral on sites like X / Twitter and the /r/Livestreamfail subreddit, inspiring other streamers to react to the clip.
During the livestream, Lacari tried to play it off by claiming a virus put the content on his computer, scanning his computer on stream. Shortly after, Lacari was banned from both Twitch and Kick. The incident was compared by many to a 2024 incident in which Twitch streamer Vaush opened a porn folder on stream, similarly revealing explicit, controversial content.
